Grants, Scholarships, and Applications2024 AFT CT George C. Springer Scholarship Deadline: April 1, 2024
The George C. Springer Scholarship is reserved for AFT Connecticut members. Candidates are selected based on academic promise and financial need, among other criteria. The applicant must be an AFT Connecticut member in good standing. Review guidelines and criteria here and apply here.
Rogers Innovation Fund Application Deadline: April 26, 2024
This program offers four 4-year, $8,000 post-secondary scholarships to students who are dependents of AFT members, as well as 10 one-time $1,000 grants to AFT members. Grants can be used for continuing education and also for implementing programs or introducing tools in the classroom, workplace and/or community. More information here.
C-SPAN 2024 Middle and High School Teacher Fellowship
Deadline: May 3, 2024 Selected C-SPAN Fellows will: • Work remotely with the team from July 1 – July 26 to create new educational resources • Develop content using C-SPAN programs that will be hosted on the C-SPAN Classroom website • Participate in C-SPAN’s Virtual Summer Educators’ Conferences (Dates to be determined.) • Receive a stipend of $1,000.00 for their time, work, and participation in the program Information and application here.
